13 weeks later....

As I sit at terminal 49 at LAX, a full 2 hours early, I realize how much I have learned and accomplished in the last thirteen weeks. My first quarter of PT school at LLU has been completed, I have gotten A's in all my classes, I've made amazing friends that I know will last far beyond these three years, and I've managed to keep my sanity! All of these things are both impressive and slightly unexpected to this girl! Yes, I knew I'd make friends and I knew I'd get through my classes, but finding new besties and doing so well was not on the expected list.

So as I sit waiting for my 1 am flight back home for my 10 day break I am awed and comforted by the fact that though I'm on a much needed break, to home no less, I have survived and done it well! I'm so very nervous and excited to start the next quarter of school. Lots more classes, more stress and projects, but through it all I know that I have an amazing family who loves me, friends at home rooting for me, and classmates who will make the struggle and studying bearable and even fun!

Now on to the fun part of my post....

I have been planning to go home for break since the second week of my time at LLU. However, mom and I decided to keep it a secret from my dad and brother. DJ's bday is this Saturday and I'll be coming home right in time to make a surprise bday entrance! Not only is no one expecting my arrival, but I switched my flight to a day earlier so my mom no longer knows when I'll be getting in! Again, the surprise has been killing me! Almost as much as the anticipation of going home has!

I must say that my finals were not studied for like they should have been because of this untamable excitement I've been experiencing. Thankfully, I did well on the Kines final and felt pretty good about the MMT. So as grades come back we'll see just how distracting this secret keeping has been! Of course my friends know I'm coming home, we had to plan things. But I cannot wait to see the faces of my family, who have no idea that I'm coming at all! This is the best surprise I've ever been involved in!

So as I wait at the airport and reflect on the last 13 weeks, I am anticipating the excitement that my homecoming will bring! So signing off until the surprise! Cannot wait to post about that!
