Spontaneous is best!

This was the first week back to normal classes after a marvelous break which was extremely sad and slightly boring. Monday and Tuesday were busy, and quite overwhelming with the amount of material we have to know in 12 short weeks. Or is that long weeks? Anyways, I was very ready to have a free moment or two after Tuesday and boy did I get my wish. Wednesday through Friday classes go from 8 to noon. I'm sure later on this will be a blessing, but on the first week it meant boredom!

However, Friday morning when I suggested to my partners in crime that we hit the beach that afternoon I got a much appreciated response! We dashed out of class at 11:15 and ran home to change. I then headed back to get Casey and then Kelsey. After a quick, not so quick, stop at Taco Bell, we were off to Laguna beach!

It was a beautiful day out and the breeze from the ocean made it absolutely perfect weather! We found free parking, laid out on the warm sand, played in the water, and took a stroll up and down through Laguna Hills. A snack of pizookies at BJ's made the afternoon a complete success!

Casey and I were brave enough to get in the water :)

We headed back, tired and ready to begin the weekend. Today included Sabbath school, a short drive up into Redlands to take in the view of Loma Linda and the surrounding mountains, streaming Randy Roberts sermon from the comfort of my room, lunch and a nap. Tonight is a birthday party and tomorrow will include laundry and some much needed study time. So far this quarter has been pretty darn good :)

  1. Yay! Another post. Looks like fun. Glad you got to relax more even though it was "boring." Hugs!
