A beautiful day

Today started out amazingly. I woke up in my own bed, at home, with all my things surrounding me. The sun was shining and I was pumped to get ready and head to church. And why was this? My brother DJ was baptised today. I have been hoping and praying for this day for a long time and it has finally happened. I love my brother so much and I am so proud of him for accepting Jesus as his Savior. He is such an amazing kid and has such an amazing influence that I hope he continues to use for good. So though it rained later today, I am radiant with the joy that comes from being with family and from having a day of worship. School is quickly coming to a close and I am both happy and sad about that. It means saying goodbye to friends, but also means that the warmth and sunshine of summer is here! I am ready to begin a new phase of my life starting when school ends. I will be working at Nosoca Pines Ranch this summer and then getting ready to head to Yap where I will be the primary teacher of the first grade for 10 months. All of this can be quite daunting at times, but remembering that the God who has blessed me so abundantly here will be going with me gives me the courage to go to new places and do new things.
