So my summer did not go as I had planned, with the knee problems and everything, I have been quite bored. Going from camp to sitting all day, everyday, is not what I had in mind for my summer. However, thanks to my wonderful girlfriends the summer was salvaged! I got to see them on several different occasions. The first get together was to the lake. We had a blast swimming, boating, and even getting towed back to the boat house when the boat died. It doesn't take much for us to have a good laughing time and we had so much fun that we decided we had to do something again!

Ready to Ambush the Birthday Girl
SURPRISE!!!

Happy Birthday Sarah Decks!

Our next outing was to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for the day. We ate lunch at Olive Garden, did the mirror maze, and went to the Tanger Outlets. Then headed into Gatlinburg for some looking around and doughnuts from the Doughnut Friar. Yummy!! The car ride was fantastic too, we got lost several times and even took a turn into the Dollywood parking lot. I love my girls and it was so much fun to hang with them for the day.

Another exciting trip that I got to take was to Calhoun, GA for a long weekend to spend with Olivia and help with a surprise party for Sarah. These two are now in Ethiopia working at an orphanage for 10 months and it was so much fun to spend their last weekend in the states with them! Not to mention that the party was a HIT!!! Hiding behind bushes and running out with an air horn to ambush the birthday girl was only part of the fun that I had while with the Webers.

After Calhoun I drove home and immediately packed for a beach trip! Hannah invited her cousin Erin, Amanda, and I to go to Myrtle Beach for the week. It was so nice to get some sun and sand before starting back to school. Walking around Broadway and Barefoot Landing was also really good strengthening for my out of shape knee! Basically the beach rocked my socks!
So now that the summer is over, I'm back at Southern. New roommate, new classes, new friends. All things new it is going to be really interesting. So far I like my classes and the friends I've been able to see have been fun! Here goes the next semester of my college experience. :)
