Study habits....

After last weeks surprising, and yet stupendous exam results, I was up and ready to go on Monday feeling great! However, after getting a long lecture and heading into lab, my joy was short lived. Sadly I hadn't studied the previous Thursdays material and lab hit hard with me feeling behind and rushed the entire time! But after going over things I was feeling a little better.

Needless to say, after class and a quick bite to eat, I ended up in the library studying with Casey and our new friend Charlie the skeleton. Haha.

Today was equally as overwhelming! We learned about the brachial plexus, the upper arm blood supply, lower arm blood supply, and began on superficial veins. Again, extremely complex and I was feeling behind. This time lunch was spent in the library studying with Steph. We learned all of the brachial plexus and went over the muscles again.

We had an extra long lunch because of leaving lab slightly early so Steph and I had an amazing talk about God and doctrines and our beliefs. It was really cool! Steph isn't an Adventist and even with that distinct difference between us, she is still an amazing girl and more "devout" than a lot of the SDA people I know! We actually have a lot of the same ideas about God and good living! Having a non-SDA friend at LLU has really been an eye opener for me!

After our incredible lunch studying I was feeling really good until we had the second half of the lecture on the blood supply. Again to lab and I was unhappy with all I didn't know! At the end of the 2 hours I knew most of the upper arm blood supply, the brachial plexus, radius, ulna, carpals, metacarpals, phalanges, and the 9 upper body muscles that we were supposed to know.

As soon as lab was over, Steph and I again hit the library. We learned the blood supply and went over the brachial plexus again! It was so much work and yet so fun when you have such a great study buddy!

I also have been studying at home this evening. Though I have taken 2 hour long breaks my review has been decently complete, especially of the things we learned today. So for now that's the story, hopefully the rest of this week is just as productive!
