I made some couscous for supper. An on my own favorite along with Fri-chick :) Then got to talk to my bestie, BB. Was so good to hear from her. We're both starting professional and intense programs and are not happy about it!
I left about 6:15 to make it to the program on time and headed up through the rows of parents and family and students to a lonely row by myself. As we were told about the program by several different faculty members, the main theme that stuck out was that this program is going to be the most intense of my life!
A marathon is about to begin. I've taken classes, the prerequisites for the program, and shadowed a total of 80 hours. That was my training, the preparation. And now I have to find something to focus on. A goal, whether it be weekly, monthly, maybe quarterly, all were suggested. I have a feeling that my goal is going to have to be daily!
That daily kick in the pants to keep myself going and motivated! Keeping God as number 1 is going to be the most important thing during these next three years. And that starts with a daily commitment to keep Him first in my life.
I found a few verses while looking around for motivation and I decided to post them for all you blog stalkers out there:
“The Lord says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you’.” Psalm 32:8
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10
“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I hope to keep these ideas first in my mind as I go on this journey.
Ewww.... sorry about your crazy school. But so proud of your commitment to Jesus time!!! I'll be praying for you...
