Today is the first day on the road! We started out super early at 6:30 am to try and get all our visiting stops in and make it a decent amount of the way towards LLU. I was ecstatic to get to stop in Knoxville at Starbucks and say a last goodbye to the Nash family! Krista is like a sister to me and her little family is definitely one of my home highlights! I will miss them almost as much as my own immediate family! We had a good visit and play with the adorable Miss "K".
After the Knoxville stop, DJ drove us down the 5 and 1/2 hours to Memphis where we got to stop for lunch with Cort and Anca Sommerville. Sadly, their little girl "C" wasn't there, but getting some grown-up talk time in was super fun!
We continued on the road for another several hours and have made it to Port Smith today! A long day has finally come to an end at the Holiday Inn. So goodnight and we should be on the road again early tomorrow.
