Midweek excitement!

Lake Lure is my ultimate relaxation and vacation spot, so where did I need to go during my last week home? That's right. DJ and I headed up to the Lake for a last night stay and another ski. We didn't end up leaving until about 3 on Tuesday because I got to eat lunch with one of my long time friends before she headed back to Knoxville. It was great seeing Laura one last time before I head off! But back to the lake. We grabbed a frozen pizza, some gas for the boat, and a few snacks at Ingles then headed on!

We unloaded, laid in the sun/fixed the seat in the boat, and then hit the water. I had a great run down boys camp and our cove. DJ had a semi decent run down boys camp and the dam cove and we finished at the dock. We checked on Katie to see if she was interested in going out and again hit the water.

Basically we skied until we couldn't ski any more! Beautiful! Smokey and the Bandit with pizza finished off our blissful night. Morning came extremely early at 7:10 am and crazily cold! Of course I made the decision to go ahead and hit the water one final time before grabbing breakfast and heading down to Carowinds for the day.

Brrr...It was FREEZING!!

DJ's mad skills

We left the cabin about 9 and got to the park around 11. The absolutely coolest thing happened once we got parked and to the entrance, we got free tickets! Some guy came up to us and gave us 3 tickets that he didn't need. We gave one away to a family and Katie and I took the other two (DJ has a season pass). After making it through the gate (we weren't entirely sure if the tickets were legit or not) we headed for the coasters.

Waiting in line

A 7 hour day later we exited Carowinds and headed back towards Asheville :) A quick stop at Taco Bell finished off our outing.

Now that Wednesday is over I'm starting to freak out about only having 2 days left at home. Leaving is going to be so hard come Saturday morning. I really am trying my best to savor every single moment!
